Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum.
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Enough to sell you a voucher, deliver it, and let the restaurant redeem
it. That's it. No ad tracking, no data sales, no third-party profiling.
Who this policy is from
This policy applies to weeknight.club and the checkout, voucher,
and redemption experience it runs. The operator is Weeknight, a
sole-proprietor business based in New York City. Contact:
hello@weeknight.club.
What we collect
When you buy a voucher, we collect:
- Your name — so we can print it on the receipt and email.
- Your email address — to send you the voucher, QR code, and receipt.
- Your phone number — used only if we need to reach you about your order (a restaurant closes early, a batch is oversold, etc.). We do not text you marketing.
- Payment details — collected and processed directly by Stripe. Weeknight never sees or stores your full card number. We store only Stripe's reference IDs so we can look up and refund the transaction.
- Order details — the meal, restaurant, price, timestamps, and voucher status (unredeemed, redeemed, refunded).
We do not collect: date of birth, address, government ID, or anything else beyond what's above.
How we use it
- Fulfill your order (send the voucher, verify it at the restaurant, take a refund if you ask).
- Prevent fraud and abuse (detect stolen cards, duplicate redemption attempts).
- Occasional service email — "your voucher expires in 7 days," or a note if a restaurant we partnered with closes. We don't send marketing blasts.
- Aggregate reporting to the restaurants (how many vouchers were redeemed this month, total owed) — restaurants do not see your email, phone, or payment info, only the meal names and counts.
Who we share it with
Only the vendors we need to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — sends the confirmation email.
- Neon — hosts our order database.
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and processes web traffic.
- Restaurants you buy from — see your first name and voucher meal only, at the moment of redemption. That's it.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it
with advertisers. We do not use ad-tracking
pixels.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a small number of first-party cookies necessary for
checkout (Stripe's cookies, session state). We currently do not run
third-party analytics. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics
in the future, we'll update this policy.
How long we keep it
- Order and voucher records: 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes.
- Email/phone: kept as long as your account has activity, then deleted or anonymized on request.
- Stripe holds payment records under its own retention policies.
Your rights
You can, at any time, email hello@weeknight.club to:
- See what personal data we have about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete your account and data (we'll keep the minimum required for tax records; the rest we erase).
- Opt out of any service emails beyond transactional voucher/receipt messages.
California residents (CCPA) and residents of other states with data
privacy laws have the same rights above plus a right to know what
categories of data we've disclosed to service providers in the past 12
months (the vendor list above is exhaustive) and a right to
non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We honor those.
Children
Weeknight is not directed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly
collect data from children. If you believe a minor gave us information,
email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Payment card data never touches our servers — Stripe handles it
directly. Everything we do store is behind HTTPS, hosted on managed
infrastructure (Neon, Cloudflare), and access is restricted to the
operator. Passwords for the admin panel are stored as secrets, not in
the database.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we share it, we'll update the "Last
updated" date at the top and, for material changes, email anyone with
an active voucher.
